Tiffany S. Bumpers, Ph.D.

About the Founder & CEO
Hello, I'm Dr. Tiffany S. Bumpers, and I am thrilled to introduce myself to you. With a passion for empowering individuals and a deep understanding of the educational landscape, I have dedicated my career to making a difference in the lives of Black women and girls. I proudly hold a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Illinois State University (ISU), where my research focused on the profound impact of implicit education debt on the journeys of African American mothers pursuing graduate education. While we often associate the cost and debt of education as monetary, my research shows that the social, emotional, and physical debt incurred in pursuit of higher education can be just as taxing if not more. My research has given me unique insights into the challenges we face and has fueled my commitment to creating a safe space where Black women not only survive but thrive.
Furthermore, I am equipped with two bachelor's degrees, one in Psychology and another in African American Studies, both earned from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). These interdisciplinary studies have enabled me to approach my work with a well-rounded perspective, understanding the diverse needs and experiences of those I aim to support. In addition, I hold a master's degree in Educational Leadership-Policy Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), further bolstering my expertise in navigating the complexities of educational systems and policies. This knowledge has been instrumental in shaping my role as a mentor, advisor, and advocate for Black women and girls, a journey I have passionately pursued for over 10 years.
As a mother myself, I understand the importance of providing a nurturing and empowering environment for future generations. Through my work, I aim to inspire and uplift Black women through collective work, ensuring we have the resources, guidance, and support to thrive in every aspect of our lives. I truly believe, we are who we’ve been waiting for, and I am excited to leverage my extensive academic background, research expertise, and years of experience to make a lasting impact on the lives of Black women and families. Let us embark on a journey of empowerment, growth, and prosperity together.
